Facebook rolls out the GIF button for comments - If you're going to go white, do it right.

Facebook users can now send GIFs in comments directly from a button, allowing them to send an animated image when they just can't find the words. As part of the celebrations, the social media firm is also releasing a poll asking users to answer one of the longest-standing questions in the technology world — how do you pronounce GIF? Scroll down for video To add a GIF into your comment, just tap the GIF button in the comment bar. You can then type in what you're looking to say and pick the perfect GIF. Since 2015, users have been able to send GIFs in comments by copying and pasting the URL of a GIF from an external website. But Facebook hopes that by adding a GIF button directly into the comment bar, it will encourage more people to reply with animated images. In a introducing the feature, Facebook said: 'Today we're introducing the ability to add GIFs in comments for all people on Facebook globally. And in the past year, GIF sends on Messenger tripled to nearly 13 billion. Facebook said: 'Each GIF is a unique and shareable morsel of human expression. Over the next few days, US Facebook users may see a poll asking them to cast their vote, with the results revealed later this week.
